Nutrients
Nutrients
Maintaining a healthy biomass requires the appropriate blend of macronutrients and micronutrients. The theoretical amount of nitrogen and phosphorus required for new cell synthesis is dependent on the growth conditions of the system. The rule of thumb is to provide an influent ratio of 100:5:1 (BOD:N:P). EBS provides a variety of supplemental nutrient products to enhance system performance efficiency.
MacroGro™ Custom Formulated Nutrient Blends
Industrial Wastewater Treatment
- Non-hazardous specialty blends of pH-neutral nitrogen and phosphorus (macronutrients)
- Aids in Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR)
- Custom formulated blends based on actual system requirements
- Can be applied directly to secondary treatment
- Product is available in tote or bulk quantities

CalNit
Calcium Nitrate solution to prevent hydrogen sulfide (H2S) production
- A liquid solution of calcium nitrate
- Provides a safe and cost-effective solution to an oxygen-deficient condition
- Used as a terminal electron acceptor to drive the degradation of BOD.
- Product is available in totes and bulk quantities.

FerrOx
Ferric Nitrate solution offers the same benefits as CalNit, with the added advantage of sulfide reduction
- A liquid solution of Ferric nitrate
- Provides a safe and cost-effective solution to an oxygen-deficient condition
- Used as a terminal electron acceptor to drive the degradation of BOD.
- Product is available in totes and bulk quantities.

BOOST™
Micronutrient to optimize biological performance in aerobic and anaerobic wastewater systems
- Specially formulated dry blend of micronutrients which supports new bacterial cell synthesis and Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD5) removal.
- Blend includes: Calcium, Cobalt, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Magnesium, Molybdenum, Potassium, Sodium, and Zinc.
- Formulated to provide essential elements for systems that are micronutrient deficient and can be applied directly to secondary treatment.
- Product is available in 25-pound pails, containing 25 individual water-soluble bags.
